DISCOVER KYOTO/ JONAN-GU

On September 28, 2014 I visited Jonan-gu 城南宮 with a friend. I had never been there before. Jonan-gu was located in the south of the capital in 794. The deity of Jonan-gu is famous for protecting from four counters (east, west, south and north. 東西南北.) And as it happens, we saw traditional ceremony by 巫女 (Miko, Shrine Maiden.) The shrine is also famous for an event called ''Kyokusui-no Utage 曲水の宴.''

And we enjoyed beautiful gardens: Haru-no-yama, Heian, Muromachi, Momoyama and Jonan Rikyu. I was very impressed and I took a lot of photos! The scent of fragrant olive was amazing. Thank you Elizabeth for taking me there!

As you know, Kyoto gets a lot of tourists (both domestic and foreign countries) every year.
And in Kyoto there are a lot of historical places (shrines, temples, etc) where I haven't been to yet. But I feel like I've been there just because I'm living in Kyoto.

This experience made me feel that I want to explore Kyoto more!

Have you ever been to Kyoto?

(Thanks for stopping by and reading! I love hearing your comments:) I'm not good at English! When finding mistakes in my English, will you correct them if you don't mind?)
