不機嫌なママにメルシィ! LES GARCONS ET GUILLAUME A TABLE (2013, FRANCE)
It's a French autobiographical comedy film written and directed by Guillaume Gallienne. It was very unique story I think.
FRANK (2014, UK and IRELAND)
Irish comedy-drama film. I wrote about this film on MEANING DAYS OFF post. I hope you'll read it.
TOM AT THE FARM (2013, CANADA and FRANCE)
Tom who is a young advertising copywriter goes to the country for the funeral of his boyfriend. Then he's shocked that no one knows who he is... I watched this film from the front row in cinema. I turned my eyes from some scary scenes.
It's a psychological thriller film directed by Xavier Dolan. I like his works. I've watched LAURENCE ANYWAYS and LES AMOUS IMAGINAIRES so far.
グッバイ アンド ハロー GREETING FROM TIM BECKLEY (2012, USA)
In 1991, Jeff Beckley 24 year old unknown musician is invited to his father tribute concert. His father is famous folk rock singer Tim Beckley, but Jeff doesn't know well about his father...
In this film Penn Badgley plays Jeff Beckley. He is famous for tv program called gossip girl (sorry I don't watch gossip girl.) I was so impressed by his no lip-syncing performance. He sang live thoughtout the entire film. I learned Penn Badgley is talented as actor and singer. And this film made me wanna listen to Jeff Beckley. Lilac Wine is so beautiful song...
SHIFT 恋よりも強いミカタ (2013, PHILIPPINE)
A tomboyish woman who works as call center agent falls her openly gay co-worker... It's a bittersweet story. Some scenes made me wanna cry. But their relationship is very beautiful.
Maybe this is the last post of the year:)
I'm looking forward to seeing great films next year!

WINTER ESSENTIALS #2 MUSIC AND MY CHRISTMAS
On Christmas Eve, I worked early shift. After work I stopped by a cafe and I decided to write this post listening to music which make me feel cozy (and sad sometimes...) at the moment.
This is the playlist.
THIRTY-THREE/ the smashing pumpkins
LEGO HOUSE/ ed sheeran
MY NUMBER/ foals
NOVEMBER HAS COME/ gorillaz
CANDLES/ hey monday
DO YA/ mcfly
MADNESS/ muse
AMERICA/ razorlight
DEEP AND MEANINGLESS/ rooster
WE WERE CHILDREN/ tribes
DRUNK GIRL/ something corporate
SLEAZY BED TRACK/ the bluetones
TONIGHT/ lykke li
エンドロール/ 秦基博
君の街に行けることを確かめようと歩いた/ swimm
As you know, some music is nothing to do with cold season. But I like all of these!
On Christmas, it was also my day off. In the morning I eat stollen and mazipan which a friend sent me from Germany. It was sooo good!! And I received a box from a postman. It was some Garnier products I ordered this month. I'm looking forward to trying them! I thought it was Christmas present from me:)
From evening, I went out wearing LUSH SNOWCAKE perfume. It smells like mazipan! And I met a nice person from work at a cafe. He is one of people I respect the most. Thank you so much for coming!
By the way, on the way to cafe I saw many people who dressed up as Santa Claus IN PUBLIC... It was a little disgusting...
I'm going to write about movies I watched in November and December before long. To write blog will be refreshing change of pace (even though boring posts, poor English...hehe)
What's your favourite winter song?
How was your Christmas?

WINTER ESSENTIALS #1MOISTURIZING
Christmas is around the corner. I have no special plans, but I'm really really looking forward to eating mazipan and stollen which I received from a friend (thanks Julia!):)
This time I decided to write about my winter essentials. Let's get started!
LIP BALMS
I introduce two my favourite lip balms first. I like the texture of BURT'SBEES REJUVENATING LIP BALM WITH ACAI
BERRY. But to be honest, I don't like the scent so much(maybe...acai? Basically I don't like the kind of artificial berries scent.)
BLISTEX MEDLIP is one of the best lip balms ever. I like both of the texture and the scent like minty vanilla.
HAND CREAMS
I wash my hands many times a day for work. And it causes rough hand. So hand cream is one of my must have stuff during winter season. I received LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS CREME HYDRATANTE from a friend (she had a trip to Paris for honeymoon.) This smell is amazing. It smells like sweet. And it has a very light texture. WELEDA SANDDORN HANDCREME has a citrus scent. And it also has light texture. I got GLYSOMED HANDCREME last year. I like the camomile scent which makes me feel relaxed.
BODY CREAM
At first I wanted to try the body shop argan oil body cream. But it's a little expensive for me. So I looked for other body cream which contains argan oil. And I found VERONA SPA OLIVE AND ARGAN OIL MOISTURIZING CREAM
at drugstore. It's Polish product. I think it was about 400 yen! This body cream works very well on my skin.
To be continued...

OUTFITS OF NOVEMBER
Leather (also fake) leather jacket is one of my must have essentials for winter. I get into it since last year. I think the effect of Dominic Howard is very very big to me, haha.
I found all of jackets I have at second hand stores in Kyoto last year. They are very comfortable to wear.
I want to add grunge taste to outfits this season (with clothes I've already had.) I'm not going to buy new (old) clothes anymore this winter season. But I want new sneakers!

MAKEUP/TRULY MY PLEASURE
Music, movies, learning languages, makeup...they are pieces of my pleasure.
But recently makeup is gradually leaving my pleasure. Because the way of thinking about makeup has changed a little...
When I was un university student, I used to like collecting and trying various makeup products. So I spent a lot of money which I earned by myself (part-time job.) Maybe I was a makeup junkie.
I'm still into RIMMEL LONDON (rimmel london sold in abroad is more attractive than rimmel london sold in Japan), Barry M, and SLEEK. I like reading blogs related to them so much.
But now, I noticed that to collect many makeup products isn't truly pleasure for me. I thought that I should think good ways to use the money.
I think makeup is one of ways to express my personality. So I want to find makeup which is something like me:)

MOVIES I WATCHED IN OCTOBER
フランシス・ハ FRANCES HA (USA, 2012)
It's black and white film.
I was a little irritated with the heroin who is 27 and working at ballet company. Because she is not good at expressing her emotions like ME! But I thought that I want to search the best (or better) way of life like her.
ぶどうのなみだ (JAPAN, 2013)
It's been almost 8 years since I watched Japanese film. 大泉洋 is my favourite actor, so I decided to watch the film.
The film that is set in Sorachi 空知, Hokkaido. But I think there is no realistic.
To be honest I didn't know what the film wants to tell us, but I was filled with warm feelings when I leave the theatre. I've never been to Hokkaido yet, so I want to visit there some time.
I wrote about 365日のシンプルライフ TAVARATAIVAS, スモーキング・ハイ PINEAPPLE EXPRESS and THIS IS THE END on OCTOBER FAVOURITES post. I highly recommend these movies (especially TAVARATAIVAS!):)

MEANINGFUL DAYS OFF
On the 13 and 14 were my days off.
On the 13 I went to efish cafe where is near Gojo-oohashi (it was the third time for me to go there.) I studied for a exam while drinking jasmine-milk tea. I take the exam next January. I have to study more... ugh.
And on the 14, I went to Kyoto Cinema and watched a film called FRANK. I was expecting that it was a comedy film, but it was a little different. Success, allegiance, SNS addiction, stepping outside a comfort zone...I think it was a little complicated story. But there were some scenes that I emphasize with in the film. Anyway, I'm happy to see the film:)
By the way, I thought autumn season has already gone before I knew, but it is still be here. I found autumn in our garden:)
How about around you?

OCTOBER FAVOURITES!
RIMMEL LONDON WONDERFUL MASCARA WITH ARGAN OIL
I'm not a mascara lover, but I like this mascara. It gives clump-free eyelashes and natural/lightweight finish. I don't know how argan oil works to my eyelashes...:p
RIMMEL LONDON BROW THIS WAY IN 002 MEDIUM BROWN
I was no-eyebrows girl when I was a student (junior high school - university), but now eyebrows are one of important parts of my beauty world. This kit contains eyebrow powder, eyebrow wax, a double-ended angled brush and spooley brush. My eyebrows are finished with the kit these days.
RIMMEL LONDON MOISTURE RENEW LIPSTICK IN 770 ODYSSEY BROWN
It's the old version of moisture renew lipstick by rimmel london. Odyssey brown is a reddish-brown colour. I like the colour because it's perfect for autumn season and it suits my original lip colour. And I also like the texture. It's creamy and easy to apply (it's not long-lasting, but it doesn't matter to me.)
RIMMEL LONDON LASTING FINISH NUDE FOUNDATION IN 200 BEIGE
I'm not a fan of foundation. Because sometimes it is a little too heavy and cakey on my skin. But I like the new lasting finish foundation. It's more lightweight than the original lasting finish foundation.
REVLON COLORSTAY SKINNY LIQUID LINER IN 303 MAHOGANY FLAME
It's the thinnest tipped (0.1mm!) liquid eyeliner I've ever used! You can finally achieve the perfect cat-eye look (I should practice more...)! Mahogany flame is a beautiful metallic brown. The pigmentation is pretty good and it stays all day long.
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS 1991-2000 GREATEST HITS VIDEO COLLECTION
It's an amazing collection of the smashing pumpkins's best songs and music videos. If you are a fan of them, it's must have!
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS EARPHORIA
It's a soundtrack to their first home video called VIEWPHORIA. There are a lot of cool stuff! Especially CHERUB ROCK (acoustic version) and DISARM (hard rock version) are very impressive.
スモーキング・ハイ PINEAPPLE EXPRESS
It's an American comedy film written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. James Franco was nominated for Golden Glove award for his performance in this film. I think neither marijuana nor violence are good things, but I really enjoyed this film (especially the fight scene at Red's house.)
THIS IS THE END
It's an American disaster comedy film. James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Michael Cera, Emma Watson...they play themselves and they are faced with the apocalypse... Maybe some people say it's horrible film, but I like it. I laughed many times and one scene makes me want to eat milky way!
365日のシンプルライフ TAVARATAIVAS
It's a Finnish film. I learnt my life is surrounded by many stuff, but my life isn't made by only stuff which money can buy. I'm happy to see the film.
I skipped September Favourites post, sorry:'(

DISCOVER KYOTO/ JONAN-GU
On September 28, 2014 I visited Jonan-gu 城南宮 with a friend. I had never been there before. Jonan-gu was located in the south of the capital in 794. The deity of Jonan-gu is famous for protecting from four counters (east, west, south and north. 東西南北.) And as it happens, we saw traditional ceremony by 巫女 (Miko, Shrine Maiden.) The shrine is also famous for an event called ''Kyokusui-no Utage 曲水の宴.''
And we enjoyed beautiful gardens: Haru-no-yama, Heian, Muromachi, Momoyama and Jonan Rikyu. I was very impressed and I took a lot of photos! The scent of fragrant olive was amazing. Thank you Elizabeth for taking me there!
As you know, Kyoto gets a lot of tourists (both domestic and foreign countries) every year.
And in Kyoto there are a lot of historical places (shrines, temples, etc) where I haven't been to yet. But I feel like I've been there just because I'm living in Kyoto.
This experience made me feel that I want to explore Kyoto more!
Have you ever been to Kyoto?

OUTFITS OF AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER
Summer is over and autumn has come to Kyoto.
I looked back on my outfits of August and September...
I like simple and casual black based outfits so much.
I bought a flower-printed dress this summer, but I didn't wear it. I wondered how I can match it with other clothes:'(
And I didn't have courage to wear the kind of one-piece, skirt... (I still don't have courage)
And I was going to buy sandals. I knew what I want but I couldn't find it. But actually, I think sneakers (trainers) suit my outfits better than sandals or heels:p
Vans sneakers are always my favourites. They are very comfortable for me:) I want new one!

MOVIES I WATCHED IN SEPTEMBER
・ノー NO (Chile, USA, Mexico, 2012)
Is it possible that TV commercial changes the world? This movie is based on the truth , dictatorship (Pinochet) of Chile in the late 1980s.
・チョコレート ドーナツ ANY DAY NOW (USA, 2012)
I watched this movie in july. And I watched again with a friend. I'm not sure that 'impressed' is right expression or not. I thought over again that this is a thoughtful movie...
・YOUTH IN REVOLT (USA, 2009)
A boy called Nick falls in love with a girl called Sheeni who is interested in French culture. Sheeni dreams of getting married with French man. One day Nick creates an alter- ego named Francois Dillinger who is rebellious troublemaker... It's a romantic comedy film. Michael Cera is playing a double role in this movie.
・PAPER HEART (USA, 2009)
It's a romantic comedy film like a documentary starring Charlyne Yi and Michael Cera. I felt Charlyne and I have something in common: Does true love really exist?
This movie may be sweet, but a little sad. I like the atmosphere more than anything.
・CRYSTAL FAIRY & THE MAGICAL CACTUS (USA and Chile, 2013)
It's a Chilean adventure come film. There is no Japanese subtitle. So it's so hard for me to understand their English (of course Spanish, too):'(
・SUPER (USA, 2010)
Ellen Page is one of my favourite actors. So I picked up the movie. It's a dark comedy superhero film I think. Sometimes hilarious and sometimes a little gross... But I enjoyed.
